Turns out I did want to blog after all :) Of course it's about the talk I recently attend in Sunway Uni. Although the talk only went on for 1 hour as he have to rush for his flight to Vietnam, he manage to bring so many people to tears. One of the few highlights from his talk that inspires me:
1) Sometimes we fall down, if I failed to get up 100 times, am i failure? If i'm not a failure, why do you sometimes think that you're a failure?
2) I tried committing suicide when I was 10 years old in my bathtub, but I didn't drown, cause God's got a plan for me. He wants me to inspire other people with my story. *yes, you did inspire many :)*
3) We make mistakes in life but none of us are mistakes.
4) F.A.I.T.H. = Full Assurance In The Heart
5) Girls, you dont need to have a boyfriend to feel loved.
When he mentioned and did a small survey about suicide, I start tearing up. He asked three question to the crowd while we close our eyes so our answers will remain anonymous even to the person beside us. We raised our hand high up and answer by closing our hands into a fist to signify agree. The three question he asked:
1) How many of you have the thought of committing suicide?
2) How many of you have actually attempt suicide?
3) How many of you attempt suicide because of teasings from other people?
Yes, everything he said in his talk did touch some parts that I have gone through in life. That's the reason why I start tearing up. He is truly an inspiring person, everything he has gone through since young is nothing to be compared from what we think is the worse thing we have to go through. Bullies, teasing, perceptions.
What I have learnt from the talk, before I start complaining about how unfortunate I am for having pimple faced, fats and all, I would think of Nick first. No Limbs to No Limits :)
